Nina Manu — Artist Portrait

Nina Manu

Origins & Path

Nina Manu is a contemporary fine artist, symbolic painter, and ceremonial practitioner whose work occupies the rare confluence of classical artistic mastery and living spiritual tradition. Born in 1994 in Macedonia — beneath the waning moon on the sacred Lotus day — she carries a lineage steeped in Macedonian, Vlach, and Russian ancestry, where creative expression has always been passed through the feminine line, from grandmother to mother to daughter, as something ancient, felt, and unnamed.

Formally educated in Furniture Design and Interior Technology in Skopje, Nina developed an acute sensibility for form, material harmony, and spatial resonance — a foundation that would later inform the structural depth of her paintings. Her subsequent years as a Makeup Artist and Trainer for Max Factor in Malta expanded her mastery of visual transformation: an understanding of light, texture, and the alchemy of the face as canvas.

A journey to Egypt in 2021 marked a decisive threshold. Stepping away from the velocity of professional life, she entered a period of deep creative recollection — first on Rtanj Mountain in Serbia, where she encountered ceremonial cacao for the first time, and later across the cultural capitals of Europe. In Madrid, she moved through world-class museums as a student of civilization. In Istria, she reconnected with land, lineage, and the slow rhythms of artistic creation.

Journey & Practice

In 2024, Nina presented her paintings in an exhibition in Malta — a formal introduction of her vision to the international art world. She subsequently deepened her classical training at the Academy of Fine Arts in Barcelona, committing to technical mastery alongside intuitive expression. Today, she collaborates with Gallery Talisman in Pula, where her practice continues to evolve through painting, Bereginye archetypal exploration, and ceremonial cacao ritual.

Her work is not decoration — it is devotion. Each canvas holds the weight of memory, ancestral inheritance, and symbolic vision. Nina Manu's paintings belong to the long tradition of art as sacred act: honest, luminous, and unmistakably alive.

Three Pillars

The Practice

✦

Painting

Mixed media works in acrylic and oil. Each canvas is a layered act of memory, symbol, and presence — built with classical precision and intuitive depth.

ᛟ

Bereginye

Archetypal exploration of the Slavic feminine guardian. Nina works with this ancient energy as a symbolic and spiritual language — a path toward inner wisdom and mythopoetic expression.

◯

Ceremonial Cacao

Heart-awakening ritual practice. Cacao as medicine, as opening, as ceremony. A living tradition held with care and intention.
