Ceremonial
Cacao

The ancient drink of the heart. A portal to creativity, clarity, and sacred presence.

An Ancient Tradition

Ceremonial Cacao

✦

Ceremonial cacao has been cherished for thousands of years in the cultures of Central and South America. Ancient civilizations such as the Maya and the Aztecs considered cacao a sacred plant, often referred to as the food of the gods.

Today, ceremonial cacao is rediscovered as a gentle yet powerful heart-opening plant that supports emotional clarity, presence, creativity, and connection.

Unlike commercial chocolate products, ceremonial cacao is prepared from pure cacao beans with minimal processing, preserving its natural nutritional richness and energetic qualities.

From Earth to Cup

The Journey of Cacao

01

The cacao used in our ceremonies comes from small farms in Peru, where cacao trees grow in rich tropical soil under the care of local farming communities.

02

The process begins with planting and nurturing cacao trees, which take several years before they begin producing their precious pods.

03

When the cacao pods ripen, they are carefully harvested by hand. Inside each pod are cacao beans surrounded by a sweet white fruit pulp.

04

The beans are then fermented for several days — a crucial step that develops the depth of cacao's flavor and character. After fermentation, the beans are dried slowly under the sun.

05

Once dried, the cacao beans are lightly roasted and ground into a paste that eventually becomes ceremonial cacao.

06

Each step of this journey involves human hands, patience, knowledge, and respect for nature.

For this reason, cacao is not only a food product — it is a sacred collaboration between the Earth and the people who cultivate it.

We express deep gratitude to Mother Earth, the cacao farmers, and all the hands involved in this process, allowing this beautiful medicine to reach our cups.

Chemical & Energetic Benefits

Cacao contains a rich spectrum of natural compounds that support both body and mind. It is naturally high in magnesium, antioxidants, and minerals that support cardiovascular health and overall vitality.

Cacao also contains theobromine, a gentle natural stimulant that increases blood circulation and brings a feeling of warmth and openness in the body.

Another important compound is phenylethylamine, often called the "molecule of love," which can elevate mood and enhance feelings of joy and connection.

Cacao can

  • ✦support emotional openness
  • ✦increase creativity and inspiration
  • ✦deepen meditation and introspection
  • ✦promote a gentle feeling of heart expansion
  • ✦encourage connection with oneself and others

For many people, ceremonial cacao becomes a beautiful ritual for slowing down, listening inwardly, and reconnecting with the heart.
